A limit switch unit is actuated at a precise point following a number of revolutions of a shaft (1). Located between the input shaft and the switch are a number of gears (2,3,4) and three coaxial discs with switching elements on each. The discs have pins (8) that project at specific radial positions. The centre one is operated at a precise point and engages a slot on the switch actuator (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides precise switching points. Switches off drive of industrial robot to prevent damage from manipulator and its tools if there is cable breakage or faulty reactions caused by software failures. Prevents uncontrolled movements and collisions.
