A gas distribution chamber is axially positioned within a combustion chamber, the gas distribution chamber including ports connecting the gas distribution chamber with the combustion chamber. A secondary air chamber surrounds the combustion chamber, the secondary air chamber having ports connecting the secondary air chamber with the combustion chamber. A primary air chamber surrounds the secondary air chamber. The ports between the gas distribution chamber and combustion chamber and between the secondary air chamber and combustion chamber are formed in corresponding circumferential arrays. The gas and air passing through collide along the centre line of the combustion chamber.
