PURPOSE:To facilitate the exchanging work of the cleaning member of a fixing means by moving a heat insulating member between a process cartridge and the fixing means by interlocking with the loading/unloading action of the cartridge. CONSTITUTION:In this image forming device, the process cartridge 14 is loaded/ unloaded by opening an opening and closing lid 2 on a main body 1 side and the fixing means 19 provided with the cleaning member 19c which must be exchanged for maintenance is disposed on the deep side of a loading/unloading path 30 for the cartridge 14 through the heat insulating member 23. Then, a linking mechanism 32 for moving the member 23 is disposed, which allows the member 23 to retreat from a space communicating with the path 30 by unloading the cartridge 14 from the device main body 1, and positions the member 23 between the cartridge 14 and the fixing means 19 by loading the cartridge 14 to the device main body. Thus, the exchange of the cleaning member of the fixing means is facilitated. |
