PURPOSE:To make the hardness of the surface of the item concerned too high to be marred and further its external, appearance favorable by a method wherein a process, in which thermosetting resin sheet is arranged on the inner surface side of a mold by vacuum forming and/or air pressure forming so as to be placed upon fiber reinforced thermosetting resin sheet in order to be press-molded together, is included. CONSTITUTION:Thermosetting resin sheet under uncured or semi-cured state, which is mainly, for example, of reactive acrylic resin having the weight-average molecular weight of 50,000-1,000,000 and blocked isocyanate and cut to the predetermined dimensions, is arranged inside a mold so as to be brought into close contact with a mold inner surface under ordinary temperature or heat by vacuum forming and/or compressed air pressure forming. Next, by being introduced in the mold, fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet is arranged inside the thermosetting resin sheet. Next, after the closing of the mold, the thermosetting resin sheet and the thermoplastic sheet are press-molded. By said press-molding, mainly the fiber reinforced thermosetting resin sheet is set. Thus, in the manufacture of the molded item of the fiber reinforced thermosetting resin sheet, the decoration through the lamination of the thermosetting resin sheet is performed simultaneously during the manufacturing process of the molded item. |
