PURPOSE:To prevent a completed photograph from being darkened without variably controlling the tube of a strobe or the position of a reflecting plate by moving a photographing lens to the short focus side when the distance from an object is far from the strobe light arriving distance of a strobe, and fetching light quantity returned from the object. CONSTITUTION:This strobe controller is provided with a detecting means for detecting a case that the distance from the object is far from the strobe light arriving distance of the strobe prior to strobe photographing and a moving means for moving the photographing lens to the short focus side prior to the strobe photographing when the distance from the object is far from the strobe light arriving distance. Prior to strobe photographing, status that the distance from the object is far from the strobe light arriving distance is detected by the detecting means and the photographing lens is moved to the short focus side by the moving means. Since the F value of the photographing lens can be reduced by such constitution, light returned from the object is fetched and the completed photograph can be prevented from being darkened. |
