PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile jacking method and pull-out method capable of consolidating backfilled soil without bringing enlargement of equipment. SOLUTION: A pile jacking and pulling-out machine getting a reactive force from existing steel sheet piles 2... by clamps 11 provided under a saddle 12 is used together with an auger device 15 to force a steel sheet pile 1 into the ground. In this time, when pulling out the auger device 15, the auger device 15 is pulled up to an optional height and the ouger screw 17 is reversely rotated to discharge soil L into the excavated hole 3. Subsequently, the auger device 15 is moved down in the state that a reaction is received from the existing piles 2... to press the soil L down and consolidate it. Then, the auger device 15 is pulled up again.
