PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing apparatus which can protect a driving means in a driving chamber by preventing the entry of overflowing liquid from a tank due to rapid fluctuation of the pressure difference between outside and inside of the apparatus and improve the driving means mechanical life in the driving chamber by improving the shield ability of the driving chamber and aseptic treatment space by avoiding the entry of vapor mist coming from the sealing liquid in the tank of the sealing apparatus. SOLUTION: In the sealing apparatus, a partition member 22 separates sealing liquid 20 in an annular tank into first liquid tank portion and second liquid tank portion by the lower end. The sealing apparatus forms the space portion at the place by side to second liquid tank portion and it is characterized in that a space partition member 25 having a gas passage is placed between the fixed portion side and the rotating side. Furthermore, an exhaust pipe 31 communicated with the space portion is installed so that the vapor mist of sealing liquid 20 entered into the space portion can be purged from the space portion together with a gas exist in the space portion.
