<p>PURPOSE:To convert an inorganic short fiber harmful to a human body into a harmless state by using, as a deoxidizer for steel making, a waste article of an Al alloy composite containing an inorganic short fiber as a reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:A waste article of a fiber reinforced Al alloy composite in which an Al alloy of Al-Mg, Al-Mn, Al-Cu-Mg, Al-Si-Mg, etc., is used as a matrix and an inorganic short fiber harmful to a human body, such as whisker of SiC, Si3N4, Al2O3, ZnO, etc., and chopped fiber of SiC Al2O3, SiO2 etc., is contained as a reinforcement is used as a deoxidizer at the time of steel making and refining. Al, Mg, Mn, Si, etc., are utilized for the deoxidizing reaction of molten steel, and the harmful inorganic short fiber is decomposed by means of the high temp. of molten steel and formed into molten slag components losing its original fiber form.</p> |
