A method of providing a unit dosage form of a finely divided solid medicament for inhalation by a patient is provided, which comprises engaging the base layer of a container of the medicament to burst the lid layer of the container and discharge the medicament into a chamber for inhalation. The container may be in a blister pack of such containers, each blister containing up to 10mg of medicament. The container may be held in the first chamber of a suitable device and a discharge element of the device used to burst the container and discharge its contents into a second chamber.
