PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound useful as a synthetic raw material in high yield in reacting oxalyl fluoride with hexafluoropropylene oxide, by making concentration of oxalyl fluoride in a specific range based on an aprotic organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:In reacting oxalyl fluoride with hexafluoropropylene oxide in an aprotic organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst, concentration of oxalyl fluoride based on the aprotic organic solvent is made 10-40mol/l, preferably 15-30mol/l to give the compound shown by the formula. The amount of hexafluoropropylene oxide fed is 0.5-2.5mol, preferably 1-2mol based on 1mol oxalyl fluoride. The reaction temperature is preferably -20 deg.C to 0 deg.C. Ethylene glycol dimethyl ether is preferable as the aprotic organic solvent. |
