<p>Process and installation for throwing a yarn (2) (glass) wound in the form of a cake (4), which consists in imparting the twist to the said yarn (2) at the time of its unwinding from the said cake (4), this being done by means of a double-twist spindle. According to the invention: - the double twist spindle (1) is arranged horizontally (or slightly inclined upwards in relation to the horizontal, the inclination being at most of approximately 10); - the yarn cake (4) rests inside the pot (5) which the spindle (1) comprises, its optional carrier (cardboard tube) having been removed; - the unwinding of the yarn (2) from the said cake (4) is carried out via the interior of the latter, the end (11) of the hollow axle (6) of the double-twist spindle (1) being arranged inside the volume defined by the winding of yarn. <IMAGE></p> |
