PURPOSE:To obtain the subject yarn having excellent anti-static property exhibiting subdued beautiful metallic luster and useful for woven or knit fabric, etc., by knitting a yarn, forming a metallic layer on the surface of the knit fabric by metallization, etc., and deknitting the fabric to obtain a yarn having sporadic metallic layers on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The objective yarn having sporadic metallic layers on the surface can be produced by knitting a yarn (e.g. filament yarn having a thickness of preferably 10-1,000d) to obtain a knit fabric, metallizing at least one surface of the knit fabric with a metal (e.g. Al or Ag) by vacuum metallization, etc., and deknitting the fabric to obtain the objective yarn having sporadic metal layers on the surface. |
