For instance, a reading subject '56' is scanned toward an arrow and read. Then the numeric data '56' is identified and transferred to a data register. The data '56' is displayed on an LCD display means, and the next input waiting state is set. Then the subtraction processing is carried out and this processing result '67' is displayed on the LCD display means. In this case, a printer prints 'P' to show a fact that a printer works during the operation. Thus the printer prints the subtraction data '56.-'.
