PURPOSE:To rationally generate data for the best adjustment of the number of page storage areas of a page buffer memory by providing a virtual buffer controlling means of controlling a page number stack and an access frequency storage part. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that a page buffer memory 1 has many page storage areas, how much the frequency of page reading from an external storage device corresponding to page ejection and the frequency of page writing to the device 4 lower is calculated. A page number stack has entries #1-#n and in each entry, the number of an ejected page is entered. A read table 8 and a write table 10 each have entries #1-#n. A virtual buffer controller 7 controls the page number stack 8, and handles writing to the read table 9 and write table 10. |
