<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation pedal device of an automobile capable of suppressing backward movement of a tread part of an operation pedal associated with the backward movement of a dashboard in a head-on collision. <P>SOLUTION: A working member 22 which is pivotably supported by a steering hanger beam 1b backward thereof to oscillate a control lever 12 forwardly as a dashboard 1a is moved backwardly in a head-on collision of a vehicle faces the control lever 12 to pivotally support a dashboard 1a or a pedal bracket 7 to pivotably support an operation pedal 8 in a forwardly oscillating manner, and when the control lever 12 is oscillated forwardly, an engagement part 16 which is engaged with the control lever 12 to force the forward oscillation of the operation pedal 8 when the control lever 12 is oscillated forward is provided on the operation pedal 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
