The present invention relates to a tool equipped with a handle and forming, for example, a knife. A knife produced according to this invention essentially comprises a sleeve tube (3) made from plastic or composite which is overmoulded over the tang (4) of the blade (1) of the knife, which sleeve tube is inserted and fixed by bonding into an emerging housing (5) provided in one of the ends of a wooden handle (2).
