A machine welds together at least two flat sheets of e.g. film, fabric, etc. and plastic materials in partic., which are moved together when lying on a backing and are bonded together by a moving welding device at the same time. This device is a roller with a heated rim which rolls over the sheets to be welded together. ADVANTAGE - The machine welds together the edges of the materials while they are drawn off a packaging machine. It operates in a simple and cheap manner. It takes up no extra space but can be incorporated into the packaging machine. It requires no extra drive to move the welding device.
