The pipe or cable is fed through the centre of a rotating plate on which is mounted the wrap material, as well as a diabolo shaped guide roller (12) which feed the wrap onto the pipe. The wrap has a min. contact area with the roller using a gridded structure for the roller. The roller is set at an angle to the rotating plate. The wrap leaves the roller at a controlled angle, without lateral pulling.
