<p>PURPOSE:To prevent any deterioration of a display characteristic of a liquid crystal panel due to an increase in temperature at the end of a tubular light source by constituting a power source supplying socket disposed at the end portion of the light source of a base plate having a heat radiating portion. CONSTITUTION:A power source supplying socket 3 disposed at the end portion of a tubular light source 1 is constituted of a base plate having a heat radiating portion 6a. Namely, heat generated at the end portion of the tubular light source 1 is radiated via the socket 3 constituted of the base plate having a high heat radiation characteristic. Furthermore, the heat radiated from the socket 3 is turned into updraft so that a temperature distribution of a liquid crystal panel becomes uniform. Therefore, heat generated at the time of lighting a fluorescent lamp, particularly, heat generated in the vicinity of electrodes disposed at both ends of the fluorescent lamp is radiated, thereby preventing any deterioration of a display characteristic of a liquid crystal display due to heat generated by back light.</p> |
