<p>PURPOSE:To reduce passing resistance of a linear body by bringing an auxiliary roller, fixed at an upper end of the outer side face section of a segment, into contact with the auxiliary rail of a base body thereby accommodating the inclination or the like of the segment. CONSTITUTION:A supporting device 1 for a rotary traveling linear body comprises a base body 2 for forming a traveling track, a track rail 3 and a rotary traveling body comprising a multiplicity of segments coupled in endless, where the rotary traveling body is driven on a single track rail 3 by means of a main roller 6. A forked supporting groove forming section 9 serves as a groove 17 for supporting the passing linear body and auxiliary rollers 18 are fixed to respective outside faces. The base body 2 is provided with a pair of auxiliary rails 20. Inclination or lateral shift of the segment 4 is accommodated by bringing the auxiliary rail 20 into contact with the auxiliary roller 18.</p> |
