PURPOSE:To shorten the time needed for transmission/reception of files by coding the continuous same characters for each column. CONSTITUTION:At the transmission side, the characters of the data turned into a table for each record are arranged for each column to a file consisting of the data where the plural same characters are continuous in the same column. These arranged data characters are coded to continuous same characters based on these characters and the number of these characters. Then the punctuation characters are added to those codes and the characters which are not coded for production of a character string. Based on this character string, the data are transmitted for each column. At the reception side, the codes of the received character string are evolved and plural continuous same characters are restored. Then the original data is reproduced based on those restored same characters and the characters which were not coded and then set on the table. The data turned into a table are rearranged for each column for production of a record. Thus an original file is restored. Then the file transmission/reception time is shortened.
