PURPOSE:To obtain a portable telephone set with excellent security by providing a memory card, a memory card container, a card detection circuit, a touch sensor and a dialing permission control means. CONSTITUTION:When a phone call is made from a portable telephone set, a memory card 2 storing dialing information is loaded to a memory card accommodation section 10 and the presence of the memory card 2 is detected by a card detection circuit 11. When no memory card 2 is detected, a dialing permission control means 13 resets a talking button 1. When the memory card 2 is detected, position information of ten-key structure of the memory card 2 from a touch sensor 4 provided to the upper part of the memory card accommodation section 10 is outputted to the memory card 2 by using the means 13 and a dial signal being a destination corresponding to the position information is sent from the memory card 2 to make talking available state. Thus, the security of the telephone set is obtained.
