PURPOSE:To carry out stable control by controlling toner replenishment based on the density of a standard black pattern image formed with corrected process conditions. CONSTITUTION:Toner density control forms the standard black pattern image on a photosensitive body 121, reads the reflection input of the irradiation of a P sensor PNS, and compares it with the reference value of the toner density, by the on/off of the clutch of a toner replenishing roller. When the toner density is detected, a top end erasing timing is turned on and then, a P sensor eraser is turned on, so that a P sensor pattern image is formed in this side of the original image on the photosensitive body 121. When the drum 121 is rotated and the P sensor pattern image reaches a P sensor position, a light emitting diode 404 is turned on to irradiate the P sensor pattern image with light, the light is received by a reflected light phototransistor 403, and the density of the P sensor pattern image is detected. Thus, stable toner density control is carried out. |
