摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To keep an optical signal free from a disturbance such as a noise, and ensure the prevention of the malfunction of a transfer device by providing an optical communication device on both a travel carriage and the transfer device. CONSTITUTION:An operation instruction from a controller 18 is outputted in the form of an optical signal L1 from an optical communication device 20, and received by another optical communication device 30 at the side of a transfer device 3. As a result, a sequencer 19 outputs an operation instruction signal to a motor M2 and this motor M2 is driven with power from the side of a carriage 1. Then, the fingers 12 and 12 of the device 3 are turned to a horizontal level, and the claw 13 of one finger 12 is coupled to an engagement member 24. In this case, the coupling of the finger 12 to the engagement member 24 is detected with sensors 15 and 15. If the engagement is improper, the sequencer 19 outputs an error signal, and this signal is outputted in the form of an optical signal L2 from the optical communication device 30. The signal L2 is received by the optical communication device 20 and inputted to the controller 18. As a result, the controller 18 displays the occurrence of the error signal.</p>
