The purpose of this invention is to make it possible to automatically correct a precision boring tool. To this end, the device comprises a bore measuring instrument (26), a detector (11) for measuring the position of the cutting blades of the boring tool (13) and a correcting motor (44) which can be mechanically connected to the tool. These components are connected to a control box (100). The tool is corrected by measuring the bore made and then determining the difference between this measurement and the required diameter, by zeroing the output value of the measuring detector (11) placed on the tool (13) and correcting the tool (13) manually or using the correcting motor (44) until the output value of the measuring detector (11) is equal to the aforementioned difference.
