<p>Electromagnet, particularly for a contactor, with a magnetic circuit of simplified manufacture. Each of the stationary (14) and moving (15) armatures comprises a U-shaped piece (17, 19) made of thin sheet steel, and a central core (18, 20). Each U-shaped piece has two flanges (33, 34) in which are cut out teeth (38, 40) and recesses (43, 45) corresponding to the recesses and teeth of the other U-shaped piece.
