PURPOSE:To correct the distortion of an input figure which receives regular distortion by storing the information of plural and continuous columns or rows in the information of a quantitizing figure in a shift register sequentially and reading out the contents of a bit position which has been previously selected corresponding to the distortion in the shift direction of the shift register. CONSTITUTION:A shift register 6 stores sequentially the quantitizing value of each point of an input figure sent from a scanning device 5 and, when the figure information for one row or one column is inputted to the shift register 6, the information is inputted to a shift register 7 with the same sample points as one column or one row. At the same time the contents of the register 7 is shifted to the right by one bit, the contents of the register 6 is written in the leftmost digit of the register 7 to store continuous figures with subscribed columns or rows in the register 7. A figure with distortion which is enclosed with a thick frame and has been previously selected is read out in the register 7 and, after correcting the distortion, the corrected figure is stored in a memory 8. |
