Aqueous tenside mixtures, especially aqueous pastes of washing-active tenside compounds like fatty alcohol sulphates (FAS), especially talgalcohol sulphates (TAS) and/or C12-C18-fatty alcohol sulphates, mono-salts of sulpho-fatty acid methyl esters (MES) and corresponding di-salts, alkylglucoside compounds and the like can be converted into storable and concentrated granulates by granulating the washing-active substance. Thereby the aqueous tenside mixture is mixed with finely divided water-soluble and/or water-insoluble solids tolerable in washing and/or cleaning agents to form a pourable mass with a tenside content of about 20 % wt. and granulated. The granulates formed are preferably at least partly cleared of their water content subsequently by drying and especially by fluid bed drying.
