A max. value storage (10) and a search logic (4) with an additional stage are used. A min. value selection is derived from the output value (Msoll) of the r.p.m. regulator (7), and the traction desired value, specified on the driver side, converted to the motor torque (Msol), is used as the desired value for the motor regulation (8). A difference between these two torque desired values (Msoll-Mso
