All necessary grill movements are only effected by means of a drive motor (8) working in conjunction with a threaded spindle (5), a tapped nut (7), and a rod combination consisting of a thrust rod (10), a drive (11), a tip lever (12), a further thrust rod (13), and disengagement seesaw (14), the latter being pivoted by a second drive motor and threaded drive. The grill arm (I) need not consist of an outer (1) and inner (2) tube which is its standard format, but can comprise several inner tubes running one in the other telescopically so that for deeper stretches of water a reduced structural height is achieved. USE - To clean grills at water power stations.
