The IC engine (1) is of rotary type. Four piston segments in a closed cylinder are mounted in pairs to a rotating core, moving away from and towards each other. One pair of pistons is stopped by a block while, following ignition, the other pair takes up the drive using the energy released. Propulsion in the starting position is then activated by the second circuit. Multi-circuit systems operate with a phased time shift.
