Inside the magnetic field of an electromagnetic arrangement (1) generated between the poles (7, 9) there is arranged a permanent magnet (13) rotatably movable between two end positions. When current is supplied to the electromagnetic arrangement (1) the permanent magnet (13) is compressed to one or other of the end positions depending on the direction of the current.
