PURPOSE:To secure sufficient overhead space by holding a display part positively at an optional angle at the operated time so as to provide passengers constantly with a stable image at an optimum angle, and enclosing the display part completely into a ceiling part at the non-operated time. CONSTITUTION:This display device body 4 is disposed at the lower part of a parcel rack 5 of an aircraft, and formed of a display means 6 and a switching means. The display means 6 is provided with a display part 8 formed of a plane panel display means such as an LCD and held in its opening to have an optimum image plane angle by the switching means. In the operated state, the display device body 4 is covered with a cover 9 so as to prevent the invasion of dirt, dust, and the like. A locking means is further provided to fix the display part 8 at the operated and non-operated time, and the switching means is constructed in such a way as to enclose the display part 8 only by mechanical force in the case of power supply stop to the display device body 4. |
