发明名称 RECORDING MATERIAL FOR PRINTING INK
摘要 PURPOSE:To rapidly fix ink on a printed matter and perform a high-speed printing by providing an alumina hydrate layer on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:As an alumina hydrate provided on a substrate, a pseudo- boehmite, i.e. cohesive material of a colloidal boehmite crystal (AlO(OH)), is preferably used because it improves an ink-adhesive strength. An alumina hydrate layer has a pore structure made of only pores which are substantially 10 - 100Angstrom in radius. When a pore volume is preferably 0.5 - 1.0 cc/g because the alumina hydrate layer has a sufficient absorption and an ink accepting layer has a transparency. As the substrate, a material which has substantially no ink absorption properties is used, such as polyethylene terephthalate or polyester ceramics. The alumina hydrate layer is formed on the substrate by a method wherein a slurry obtained by adding a binder to the alumina hydrate is applied by a roll coater, an air knife coater, blade coater, rod coater, bar coater, or the like and dried.
