PURPOSE:To simply and easily register and retrieve the image by retrieving and outputting document information stored in a recording medium corresponding to retrieval information, in the case identification information inputted by an inputting means and identification number stored in accordance with the document information stored in the recording medium coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of document information read by a reading means 41 is stored in a storage medium together with identification information inputted by an input means 11, abstract information is generated by collecting plural pieces of document information to copy paper of one unit and outputting it, and with respect to this abstract information, whether retrieval information and identification information exist or not is added to the copy paper. Subsequently, whether the retrieval information and the identification information exist or not is read by the reading means 41, and in the case the identification information exists, when the inputted identification information and the identification number stored in accordance with the document information stored in the recording medium coincide with each other, the document information stored in the recording medium corresponding to the retrieval information is retrieved and outputted. In such a way, an image can be registered and retrieved simply and easily at a low cost. |
