PURPOSE:To give many functions without increasing the number of keys and to simplify the operation by displaying an operation menu of a menu library part as a picture and executing various operations on the operation menu picture with a cursor key and an execution instruction key by the control of a cursor control part and an execution instruction control part. CONSTITUTION:The operation menu is hierarchized and is held in a menu library part 8 and is displayed as a picture. A cursor control part 9 and an execution instruction control part 10 are provided to allow the operation with the cursor key and the execution instruction key. Consequently, the number of keys is considerably reduced in comparison with a conventional remote controller requiring one key for one operation, and it is unnecessary to increase the number of keys regradless of the increase of functions. Thus, a user can operate the device while watching the picture, and the standardized operation method is presented and is very plain for the user. |
