摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable a current transformer to cope with a large secondary current, a large secondary leakage impedance and an external load, without increasing its capacity, by connecting a capacitor with the external load in series and making the capacitor resonate in series with the reactances of the current transformer and the external load. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor C0 whose capacitance is adjustable is connected with an external load r3+jx3 in series. The capacitor C0 is so adjusted the capacitance resonate in series with the reactance which is the sum of the reactance component x2 of a secondary leakage impedance (reactance converted to a primary side) and the reactance component x3 of the external load (reactance converted to the primary side). That is, the relation of j/omegaC0=j(x2+x3) is made to be effected, where omega is 2XpiX frequency. Therefore, considering from the above equation, since the capacitive reactance component is equal to the inductive reactance component and they can be ignored substantially, by the connection of the capacitor C0, the burden of the current transformer is reduced by the portion of the reactance components apparently eliminated.</p>
