PURPOSE:To stably produce a thin grain-oriented silicon steel sheet excellent in magnetic flux density by successively subjecting a steel slab with a specific composition to hot rolling, coiling, cold rolling, and final finish annealing under respectively specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A slab of a steel having a composition containing, by weight, 0.02-0.1% C, 2-4% Si, 0.05-0.10% Mn, 0.01-0.065% solAl, 0.01-0.10% Se, 0.003-0.015% N, and 0.01-0.20% Sb is hot-rolled to <=1.5mm thickness, and this hot rolled plate is coiled at <=500 deg.C. Subsequently, cold rolling is exerted at 83-90% reduction of area and the resulting sheet is finished to 0.15-0.25mm final sheet thickness and subjected to decarburizing annealing, and then, this sheet is coated with a separation agent at annealing, held at 700-800 deg.C for 10-100hr, and further subjected to temp. rise up to a purification annealing temp. region of about 1100-1250 deg.C at 5-50 deg.C/h temp.-rise rate. By this method, the thin grain-oriented silicon steel sheet suitably used for iron core for trans former, etc., and excellent in magnetic properties can be obtained. |
