PURPOSE:To produce great driving force automatically by putting a differential gear into a direct connection condition to allow car driving in the condition of direct-connection four wheel drive when the shift range of a shift lever is a low-speed range and the opening of a throttle is in a kick-down region. CONSTITUTION:The output of an engine 2 is transmitted to a planetary gear type differential gear 12 to distribute engine torque to front wheels and rear wheels in a required condition via an automatic transmission. To the differential gear 12, a hydraulic multiplate clutch 28 is attached as a driving force distribution control means which can change the distribution of engine output torque to the front wheel and the rear wheels by locking the operation thereof. In this case, a shift lever position sensor 110 and a throttle sensor 38 are provided to input these detected signals to a controller 48. In selecting the case that a shift range is a L range or a R range and the opening of a throttle is in a kick-down region, the multiplate clutch 28 is put into a completely connected condition, resulting in the condition of direct-connection four wheel drive. |
