PURPOSE:To prevent a welding part from being peeled off so as to maintain a good seal effect by mounting a shim ring by a continuous welding on a gascket main body, and mutually crossing the start part and the ending part of a welding line to be formed. CONSTITUTION:On the upper face of a gascket main body, a shim ring 5 surrounding a combustion chamber hole 2 inside a bead part 4 is arranged to prevent the bead part from being compressed unnecessarily by a cylinder head and a cylinder block and thereby to maintain a good seal with the bead part 4 for a long time. Then the shim ring 5 is mounted on the main body 1 through a continuous welding in the circumferential direction, wherein the major part of a welding line 6 formed by the welding is formed on a circle with a specified radius R1 centering the center of the hole 2, and the start part 6a and the end part 6b of the welding line 6 are mutually crossed while being curved in the radial direction of the shim ring 5. |
