In various exemplary embodiments, a method is provided for producing an organic light-emitting component. In the method, a carrier (12) is provided. A first electrode (20) is formed above the carrier (12). An organic functional layer structure (22) is formed above the first electrode (23). A second electrode (23) is formed above the organic functional layer structure (22). The first electrode (20), the organic functional layer structure (22) and the second electrode (23) overlap in an optically active region (42), which extends in the lateral direction and which is embodied to generate light. An electrically conductive contact layer (39) is formed in such a way in an areal manner in an optically inactive region (40), which extends across the carrier (12) in the lateral direction, that said contact layer has direct physical and electrical contact with the first electrode (20) and/or the second electrode (23). The electrically conductive contact layer (39) is structured by means of a laser beam. |
