PURPOSE:To reduce consumption of power, to make the size extremely small, to decrease noises, to reduce cost by a method wherein reciprocating movement of a printing means is made by a crank mechanism, a cap mechanism is fixed at a nozzle point of a head and transmission locus is changed by the reverse rotation of a motor. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 17 is connected to an ink-on-demand type ink jet head 14 and the tank 17 is fixed to a holder 16. A slider 15, and the holder 16 are fixed to a shaft and the slider 15 is slided on the slider shaft 22 as it is followed by the holder 16. The rotation of the motor 9 is transferred to a body 12 of rotation through gears 10, 11 and the rotation is changed by a transmitting means 13 into reciprocating motion and transmitted to the holder 16. The shaft 16a of rotation of the holder 16 rotates in the notch part of an upper frame 19 and simultaneously slides front and rear. The printer head 14 moves in the direction of the arrow and stops on a nozzle cap 30 after dust and the like re removed by a cleaner 28. The cap 30 is attached fixedly to the nozzle 14a of the head 14 to prevent air and the like from mixing, ink from evaporating, and the like. |
