The fixing device is for mounting on a supporting structure, particularly at high level. It comprises a U-section portion with two spring arms (1",1"') joined by a web (1'). A stop (2',3') is formed on the inside of each arm and clear of the web, over which a beam etc. (5) can ride in the direction of the latter. A fixing component (4) protruding outwards is mounted on the web. ADVANTAGE - Easy fixing of lamps, partitions etc. to roof beam without damage.
