The morticed double cylinder for a door-lock has two hollow cylindrical housing sections accommodating the cores, a central recess (17) for the lock tongue, and a cylinder pocket (9). The latter contains a flexible component (7) extending in the lengthwise direction and joining together the housing sections, which are separated by the recess. This can be of spring-steel wire, soldered at the ends into drillings. ADVANTAGE - Low cost and high resistance to forcing.
