PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition which is nonhalogenous and lowly smoking and excellent in flame retardancy, dripping resistance, molding strength, etc., by mixing a terpolymer elastomer of a specified composition with aluminum hydroxide, a phosphazene oligomer and a crosslinking agent in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. ethylene/methyl acrylate/unsaturated organic acid ester terpolymer elastomer is mixed with 50-150 pts.wt. aluminum hydroxide, 5-50 pts.wt. phosphazene oligomer (e.g. amidophosphazene oligomer) and a desired amount of a crosslinking agent (e.g. diphenylguanidine) to produce a flame- retarding resin composition. The obtained composition can be desirably used as a resin composition for a resin for coating wires, cables, etc., used in power plants, ships, plants, etc. |
