<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a gas insulating switch which is excellent in performance for shutting arc and current at the time of switching unit operation by means of a small controller by connecting a rotary output shaft of the controller to the rotary shaft of a switching mechanism to which rotation from the rotary output shaft is input by means of a connecting rod having elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A switching mechanism 2 connected to a movable contact or a switching unit is placed on the side surface of a switch 1 housing the switching unit inside, while a rotary shaft 3 of this switching mechanism 2 is connected to the rotary output shaft 5 of the controller 4 of the switch 1 via a connecting rod 6 having elasticity. In this case, when the rotary output shaft of the controller starts operating, the rotary shaft of a switching groove is not operated so soon but starts to operate with a delay of a predetermined phase wherein rotational energy of the rotary output shaft during the delay is stored as torsional energy of the connecting rod. This torsional energy is overlaid to have switching operation performed when the rotary shaft of the switching mechanism starts to operate. Thus it is possible to secure sufficient performance for shutting current and shutting arc at the time of switching without increasing the output of the controller of the switch.</p> |
