PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrator capable of attenuating the amplitude of bending vibration.SOLUTION: A vibrator 100 includes a vibration piece 2 having a crystal substrate 10 including a first region 14 performing thickness-shear vibration, and a second region 12 thinner than the first region 14, and integrated with the outer edge of the first region 14, and a base substrate 712 to which the second region 12 on one end side of the vibration piece 2 is attached via bonding materials 30a, 30b. The crystal substrate 10 satisfies a relationship of 1.5×λ≤Xp, where Xp is the maximum length along the X axis of the region 13 where the bonding materials 30a, 30b of the second region 12 are bonded in the plan view, when a surface including the X axis and Z' axis is the principal surface, and the direction along the Y' axis is the thickness, and the wavelength of bending vibration occurring in the crystal substrate 10 is λ.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
