The installation for continuous supply of an excess pressure of respiratory gas to a mask (1) comprises a turbine (6)/motor (7) assembly of low inertia and high speed, arranged in a soundproofed box (9) and controlled by a pressure signal detected (26) at the level of the mask, thereby permitting a constant pressure regulation by instantaneous variation of the speed of the turbine (6) as a function of the pressure actually delivered to the mask (1).
