PURPOSE:To surely detect interference, and to secure stable speech quality by measuring an interference level from another mobile radio equipment by a radio base station by using the time of the silent state of a call from the mobile radio equipment of a remote party. CONSTITUTION:A mobile radio equipment side is provided with a silent signal detecting means 110, a discrimination signal sending means 128, 132, and a transmission control means 123, and the radio base station is provided with a discrimination signal discriminating means and a D/U measuring means. Then, while a speech signal, etc., is silent, the transmission of a carrier wave is suspended temporarily, and during this period, the receiver of the radio base station measures the level of an interference wave due to other communication, and if necessary, a channel is switched through prescribed procedure, or a slot is switched. Thus, by measuring the level of the interference wave from another mobile radio equipment, the interference can be surely detected, and the stable speech quality can be obtained, and simultaneously, since the transmission of the carrier wave is suspended for fixed time at the mobile radio equipment, a battery is saved. |
