Gaseous fuel flowing through a match fit at a tip of a fuel injector can lead to coking in fuel orifices in a nozzle of the fuel injector. A method for managing fuel flow in a fuel injection apparatus comprises reducing fuel flow through a match fit between a valve body and a first valve member actuatable for reciprocating movement within the valve body, by reducing a fuel pressure gradient across the match fit. |
